Sharing!

Both Theo and Beckett wanted to use the walker for a while this morning, and then suddenly they found a way to use it together at the same time. It was so cute to watch them toddle around the house like this, so happy with themselves! It was also just before Theo took a header in the kitchen when the laundry hamper slid out from under him. There was a LOT of blood from his mouth but it appears to have stopped. It looks like he bit his upper lip. He only cried for about 10 seconds and then calmed down and started smiling and laughing, even as blood was bubbling out of his mouth. I've got some tough cookies up in here!

Wow! The boys figured out how to remove the duct cover and stick their foots into the hole. Also their hands. Great!
Wednesday we had a great visit with Stacey and Aria, who is getting very strong! Theo was a good sport, laying out in front of Aria so she could explore his eyes, ears, mouth and head. Later Theo was patting her gently on the head, which then evolved into slapping. It's the thought that counts, right?
Both Beckett and Theo lit right up when Stacey came in!
Friends Taf and Fred gave the boys an early first birthday present last week--a beautiful set of colored blocks that sit in a little wagon with wheels and a pull rope. Here's Beck really taking advantage of all the fun this toy offers--taking out all the blocks, pulling the cord, and sitting in the wagon.
Today is a beautiful day in Syracuse. The boys and I spent the morning with Tara at the Regional Market, where they enjoyed cheese, black bean stew, and curry cashew rice. I bought yummy organic whole milk yogurt and whole milk from two local dairies, plus cheese curds for Daddy and some of the great pizza shells from Mo's Doughs. And who knows what else. That's one of the joys of the farmer's market--coming home and going through your bags to see what is in them!

When we got back, the boys took some time to crawl around the front yard. Beck's favorite spot: the road. The swings had to be cleaned of bird poop but after that, we enjoyed a good hour of swinging. Beck likes to grab onto Theo's swing and swing right along with him.

Daddy and Beckett

Beckett woke up from a nap early and so he and Daddy got some snuggle time together on the couch. (Note Beckett's crazy nap hair.) It may also have been Beckett's first time watching one of Daddy's favorite shows, Top Gear.

Beckett and the Stairs

Yeah, I just went from crawling on the tile floor to climbing the stair and now I'm sitting on the step like I own it.
 No big deal.

But all this climbing makes me tired!

Joanne and Alex came up Wednesday to spend the afternoon with Mama Lovebo and the babies. Theo and Beckett were very relaxed and in good moods, though not so excited about the quiche served for lunch. We had a wonderful and fun visit and Joanne and Alex got to practice their grandparenting skills for a new baby Miner, due in July!

Heidi let us borrow an awesome little music table that T&B can pull up on and cruise all around. The noise, songs and music has not yet totally made me crazy, which is another bonus. We've also picked up a couple other new (to us) toys lately that we're waiting to introduce--a Little People car garage with ramp and lift, and a barn set with animals. Hooray for Multiple Moms Mingle and cheap used toys!

Hiking at Clark Reservation

It's supposed to get humid and hot today, with a chance of showers, so we got up bright and early this morning to hit the trail at Clark Reservation. I wish walking the cliff trail was less like bouldering, but we found a woods trail away from the lake that was even and quiet.
