There are lots of shouts of "this is the Polar Express" and "welcome to the North Pole!" at our house these days, apropos to nothing, following two viewings of the Polar Express movie over the last month. The boys will tell you very quickly that they do not like that man on the top of the train, because he is "weird" and "scary." They like the conductor and the elves that do the flips.
There is also lots of pretend train play, including 1) riding on each other's backs, especially in the bathtub, 2) riding on any other stationary object and taking turns driving and sitting in the back, 3) playing with our small plastic trains and tracks, and 4) riding on Mama's legs, as shown below.
