San Diego part II
Reed enjoyed all the restaurant eating and drinking. He especially enjoyed JuJu's chicken fingers at the restaurant in Balboa Park and sharing water with Mama in Ocean Beach at O'Bistro.
Reed's MO on the stairs: Climb up one stair, taste it. Repeat.
There's nothing quite like being with Jen and the rest of the Bracamontes crew.
Auntie Claire! Reed has enjoyed two visits with Auntie Claire in his short life. I hope to keep it up!

Mother-Son Superhero Training Academy
A couple of weeks ago the boys and I attended the Mother-Son preschool superhero training academy held by the Town of Dewitt. It was a great little event, where the kids could make their own shield, meet Captain America, and practice lots of important superhero skills. Above is Theo doing the hulk smash. Below is us getting ready to walk out the door.
At the end of the day Theo was wiping his face and his hands were all black and then wanted to see what he looked like, so we took this picture. They did get to wear the face paint for a very long time, though--it was a good day!

San Diego
The first weekend in June Jen, my dear friend from college, graduated from UCSD Medical School. Jen and I had both traveled out eight or so years ago when Claire graduated from medical school in Wisconsin. So Claire and I traveled to San Diego to celebrate with Jen and her family, bringing Jeff and Reed and Claire's husband, Adam. Jeff and I were excited to have some time to explore San Diego as well. It will be a fun trip to take Theo and Beckett some day, but this time we were lucky to have Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Greg to stay with them at home.
We had more clouds and cooler weather than we expected but loved every second we spent along the Pacific Coast.

Jamesville Beach park
A couple weeks ago we spent the afternoon at Jamesville Beach County Park, about 20 minutes from home. The playground wasn't very exciting for the boys but there's a large sand beach that was in the process of being replenished, so there were huge hills of sand to climb up and run digger trucks on.

Taughannock with cousins
Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we met up with Jeff's cousin Mia, her husband Scott, and their three kids Luca (will be 6 in November), Greyson (3 in July), and Rowan (just 12 weeks old). We had an absolutely perfect day, warm and sunny, and we had a lovely spread in the shade next to the playground. The water was chilly and the swimming area was closed but there was no one there to prevent us from wading and playing in the water. The big boys had a great time on the playground together, and both my big guys had a great time with Greyson making their own splash pad out of the foot sprayer.
