first summer sleeping in the loft for the big boys

Concerts at our neighborhood park and backyard urban camping

Raspberry picking at our favorite patch, Navarino's

Pool party and Frozen sleigh rides at Tara's

Thunder Island and sleepover with Preston

A couple weeks ago we took Preston and met Sarah and her three boys at Thunder Island in Fulton. We had a perfect weather day and the boys had an awesome time. Theo and Beckett tried the toilet bowl water slide for the first time. Theo scared the lifeguard when he emerged from the pool and then went back under for a very long time. I didn't realize at the time that it was Theo, and I was concerned because the child was under the water for a very long time. It turned out Theo thought he had to go back under the water and through a tube to get out. The lifeguard had dropped all of his things and moved to the steps before Theo finally popped his head up. The lifeguard looked stricken when Theo finally emerged.

We've been spending a lot of time at the lake. While we were still napping Reed every day, he was having a hard time sleeping in his own bed so he took some naps in our bed. Mostly with Mama, who takes any opportunity to nap.

Part of the sidewalk and driveway were replaced a few weeks ago and we were lucky enough to be around while they were pouring the concrete.
