Stewart Park trip
Man, this playground is SO MUCH BETTER than it was when I was a kid. Same awesome carousel though. We could have stayed here longer but wanted to get back home.
NYS Fair 2021
It was our first NYS Fair without Grandpa Stu, and he was very missed. We did the "Grandpa Stu Route" our first day at the Fair, which included the animal barns, dairy building, fire safety exhibit, and NYS Fish and Game building. We also enjoyed both chocolate milk and strawberry milk. Our second day of the Fair, we hit the rides and the food hard: ice cream, corn dogs, fries, and more milk (til they sold out). We also did the skyride (Mama white-knuckled it all the way through) and the boys tried out the hydraulic trampolines.
We ran into neighbors on the twisting strawberry ride.
Theo happily eluded the height maximum for several of the rides so he could accompany Reed on the kiddie rides. (Make sure to zoom in over Theo's face--he is truly living his best life!)
We happened upon a somewhat strange circus and performing dog trampoline and pool act. A lot going on there.
The Superman ride was everyone's favorite.

Trip to the Wild zoo before school starts
We spent an epic 5 hours at the Wild (a private zoo), feeding goats, giraffes, and a gazelle. Maybe a sheep or two also. They also have covered bounce houses that the kids really enjoyed. I loved that the kids really took their time with each animal, watching from different angles, talking about what they were seeing, and appreciating the animals. We went around the whole circle twice, so we could see all the animals at different times.
