Hurrah for the grandparents!

Our parents have been lifesavers these past few months as we've been trying to work and take care of the kids. The boys have spent some time at their grandparents' homes, and the grandparents have come here a lot to take care of the kids at our house a lot, too. We couldn't do this without them!

So I guess we took a little break from posting here on the blog. Living life, questioning all the big things, homeschooling, Jeff getting back in the swing of working full-time, threatening to quit my own job on multiple occasions, and keeping a family alive. More photos to come....

Fair Haven Beach

It's hard to believe that at nine years old, mowing the lawn with Daddy still has not gotten old. I love that in some ways, my big third graders (almost fourth graders!) are still immature and silly.

A gorgeous day at Gillie Lake

We have gotten big into kiting. It's way easier than I remember, and Beckett loves the rush of getting the kite up in the air.

A couple weeks ago we took a drive out to the Morgan Hill/Tinker Falls area. We walked along the boardwalk to the lake and then took the hang glide launch site trail up a steep and rocky path. There was some whining and complaining from Theo and Reed and Theo took every opportunity to stop and read his book along the way but the view (and the snacks) at the top were well worth it.
