A week ago Thursday and Friday were freakishly warm and so the boys wanted to try out their new bikes at our favorite bike park, Santaro Park. Unfortunately the temperature went from 55 degrees when they got off the bus Friday to about 40 degrees when we got to the park, with a constant rain that put a real damper on the bike riding experience. We only stayed out for 10-15 minutes because everyone was very cold with the rain and the wind and the cold, but it was fun to try out the Christmas bikes even for a little bit. Jeff couldn't believe that I took them out but they wanted to try their new bikes so much, and I thought it was worth going even for a few minutes rather than saying no at the outset.

Then that same night and the next day we got probably eight to ten inches of snow. If it hadn't been so cold we probably would have gone sledding within the same 24 hours of bike riding!
