More Ann Arbor

We visited a cider mill Sunday morning, which was the only minor disappointment of the entire weekend because though it was a gorgeous day, and they did serve delicious hot cider and doughnuts, and it was next to a picturesque river, and it was a beautiful drive to get there, the actual cider press itself paled in comparison to Hollenbeck's, the gold standard of cider presses. But the trip to Dexter proved fortuitous because it (and Max's GPS) led us to the playground to put all other playgrounds to shame.

This is the lower portion of the playground, with four separate play structures and a huge area with basketball hoops and hopscotch. And a football field above it.

The football field separated that lower playground, with structures appropriate for ages 2-5, from the upper playground, which had three separate giant play structures for slightly older kids (but which Theo and Beckett also thoroughly enjoyed). Plus several swing sets and random other fun things. Also-behind the green wind fence, which you can barely see in this picture, are another at least three giant play structures. WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH DEXTER MICHIGAN? WHY CAN'T YOU SAVE SOME PLAYGROUNDS FOR OTHER KIDS?

Alexis found us a very authentic Mexican restaurant to enjoy after the playground trip. The boys loved the rice and beans ("rice beans!") and chips. Theo loved the very spicy green salsa. He just kept dipping his chip and licking off the salsa.
