Rio Grande Nature Center hike

On our first full day in New Mexico we were up early because of the time change, so we took advantage of the relative cool to get out for a hike to the Rio Grande. It was beautiful. We saw some birds and waterfowl and some mammal scat but no rattlesnakes or bigger mammals, despite being on high alert.
